All my friends up here in norther IL be on the lookout for severe weather headed our way. Today is a VERY dangerous situation. Storms are forecast to move super fast, between 60 and 80 mph. Winds are holding steady at 15 mph with gusts hitting up to 30 at times. This will most likely increase as the surface low approaches, so wind speeds around 25 mph are not out of the question.
Anyone going out today, I advise you to stick close to home. Don’t put yourself in unnecessary danger. Storms today are going to be fast and hit hard.
